I am inspired by Ubuntu - an African philosophy which expresses a vision for a humane society whose members care for and support each other.
Ubuntu is a word from Southern African Bantu languages and is expressed through this motto in Zulu: Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu, meaning "A person is a person because of other persons." Or: "I am what I am because of you."
I blog in English on here and in German on http://missubuntu.wordpress.com when I find time. I write my own articles and translate other peoples' articles.
I am particularly interested in the global south, inequality and poverty and it is becoming more and more obvious that we must abolish the capitalist system because it is destroying humans and the planet. The full and free development of the human individuality and potentialities can only arise out of genuine equality. If you think that is naive and utopian, then open your eyes and look around you to see what monopoly capitalism is doing to us.
I am a member of the UK organisation Global Justice Now.
